Join Us in Observing National Women’s Month

Global Woman P.E.A.C.E. Foundation is joining the Observance held by the Office on Women’s Health in A Walk for HIV Prevention.  As you are aware, HIV is one of the many health risks as a result of female genital mutilation/cutting (FGM/C); therefore supporting this walk event is very much in line with our campaign to end FGM/C.

Walk with us this National Women and Girls HIV/AIDS Awareness Day!  Join the HHS Office on Women’s Health (OWH) in “The Best Defense Is a Good Offense: A Walk for HIV Prevention” on Thursday, March 10, 2016 at 11:45am to 1:15pm.  The Walk begins at the National Sylvan Theater (Washington Memorial Driveway, SW in Washington, D.C. 20024).  The closing remarks will take place at the Department of Health and Human Services.

The color of the day is RED so make sure you wear a red t-shirt, a red scarf, a red jacket, a red tie or even a red bow in your hair.  Take photos and post them, using #NWGHAAD and #BestDefense.
