During this holiday season, Global Woman P.E.A.C.E. Foundation sadly announces the passing of our dear Advisory Board member, Ms. Lisa Crawford Bruch on Monday, December 17, 2018.

Lisa joined the Advisory Board of Global Woman P.E.A.C.E. Foundation (GWPF) in 2015, when the Vice President, Amie Jallah introduced the organization to her.  Lisa readily offered an annual donation of her income to GWPF, and she continued her generous donation until her untimely death.  It is a very sad period for us at GWPF in losing one of our very own.  Lisa was a quiet donor to the organization without ever expecting accolades or anything in return.  Our biggest donor, Lisa once said, “I admire the work of the organization, and I care about the women and girls we represent.”  Lisa was married to Steven Bruch who predeceased her in 2003.

Lisa had over 30 years of sales, marketing, business development and contracting experience in both the public and private sectors. She was a proven leader who demonstrated strength in building strategic partnerships and directing complex programs. Lisa’s accomplishments included increasing the depth and integration of contracts and procurement, devising strategies that grew market share, and creating environments that facilitated business growth.  As an entrepreneur, Lisa guided strategies on major acquisitions for telecommunications and infrastructure projects in the Middle East and West Africa.

Prior to joining Qwest, Lisa was president and CEO of The Crawford Group, Inc., which provided strategic support to telecommunications companies and small businesses alike. She also held executive level positions at AT&T in the Government Markets group and AT&T Global Sales where she led sales teams that focused on emerging markets as well as state and local governments.  Lisa was an alumna of Lincoln University, Pennsylvania, the Smeal College of Business at the Pennsylvania State University, and was a member of the National Contract Management Association.  Until her demise, Lisa was Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Century Link, Inc., one of the largest telecommunications corporations in the United States.

Global Woman P.E.A.C.E. Foundation plans to establish a special scholarship fund in Lisa’s name and memory for girls in West Africa, who have either undergone female genital mutilation or are at risk of it.  The fund will be called, “The Lisa C. Bruch Scholarship Fund”.  It is a gesture Lisa would most certainly appreciate it.

Lisa, you were one of a kind, and you will be dearly missed.  Rest in Peace, and continue to root for GWPF from where you are.

  2. I have noticed that of all forms of insurance, medical health insurance is the most marked by controversy because of the turmoil between the insurance plan company’s obligation to remain afloat and the consumer’s need to have insurance policy. Insurance companies’ commission rates on wellness plans are very low, as a result some firms struggle to gain profits. Thanks for the tips you talk about through your blog.
