Here we are at the finish line! We made it and we could not have done it without you. Again, we welcome all of our guests to Washington, D.C. Tonight we will honor some well-deserved people for the difference they make in the world each day, in combatting FGM and other injustices against women and girls. We will help dispel the myths and misconceptions of the heinous practice of FGM. We are at full capacity at the Milken Institute of George Washington University tonight. If you have not sent in your RSVP, it is too late now. If you did, we shall see you on the Red Carpet tonight!
It is still not too late to register for the #walk2endfgm though. On Saturday, rain or clouds or shine, we will gather at the National Sylvan Theater to say to the world, “No more FGM!” If we have to look like a sea of umbrellas, we will gather and we will Walk To End FGM.
Thank you all for helping us get to 44% of our goal today! The goal for today and tomorrow is to reach 50% of the overall goal, and we are so close so please don’t eave us now. Help us get there, and let’s get there together. Register at www.globalwomanpeacefoundation.org, select the pink “Register to Walk” button, and be a part of this memorable event.
