The countdown continues with only 22 days before we will all gather in Washington, D.C. on the Washington National Mall to walk together for the 6th year against FGM.  We invite you to be a part of this memorable event.  Register at www.globalwomanpeacefoundation.org, select the pink “Register to Walk” button, and be a part our 6th year of #walk2endfgm.  Join us on Friday evening, October 18th when we collaborate with the Milken Institute for Public Health at George Washington University in collectively recognizing the importance of laws and policies against FGM, a panel discussion, a silent auction, and presentation of awardees.  Then on Saturday, October 19th, Pennsylvania Representative, Thomas P. Friday Itinerary: Red Carpet arrival at 6:00pm; Global Woman Awards; A Panel Discussion with Dr. Morissanda Kouyate, Rahmah Abdulaleem, Chisina Kapungu, Michelle Mitchell, and Dr. Karen McDonnell.  Our theme is “Why are Laws & Policies Important in Preventing FGM in the U.S.?”

Saturday Itinerary: Assemble at 11:00a.m.; pre-walk program at 12:00noon; 5K Walk starts at 1:00p.m.
