We are almost there! We are excited to welcome our first arrivals to the Washington, D.C. Metro area. Hazel Barrett from the U.K. arrived last Saturday, and Dr. Mawaheb El-Mouelhy and Lola Oje are arriving today from Egypt and Nigeria respectively. We look forward to seeing you on Friday evening and/or Saturday. We thank you for registering and helping us reach 41% of our goal. Saturday Itinerary: Assemble at 11:00am; pre-walk program at 12:00noon; 5K Walk starts at 1:30pm.

Friday Location: Milken Institute for Public Health at George Washington University, 950 New Hampshire Ave., NW, Washington, D.C. 20052 (2 blocks from Foggy Bottom Metro Station). Parking is available at University Parking Garage (in Science & Engineering Hall) at 800 22nd Street, NW, between 22nd & 23rd Streets, Washington, D.C. Evening maximum rate after 5:00 PM until 2:00 AM is a flat rate of $11.00.
Saturday Location: National Sylvan Theater, Washington Memorial Drive, SW (Corner of 15th & Jefferson Streets, SW) Washington, D.C. 20024 (2 blocks from Smithsonian Metro Station)
For Saturday attire, you might want to wear jeans or sweats and a warm shirt, and your walk t-shirt will go over it. Wear comfortable walking shoes.
